U Mumba TT is owned by Unilazer Ventures Pvt. Ltd., a company founded by Mr. Ronnie Screwvala, a philanthropist and movie producer. Mr. Suhail Chandhok, a sports broadcaster and entrepreneur, is currently their CEO. They also own the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) franchise U Mumba, who won the PKL Season 2 title, and the upGrad Mumba Masters, which features in the Global Chess League.
